The Freedom Film Society is proud to be presenting audiences with another innovative night of film screenings. As in the past, the FFS is presenting films as well as the live music that has inspired them. The screening will initiate with a pre party featuring the best NY and NJ mixing, followed by Red Bank premiere of the feature- length documentary SCRATCH. SCRATCH explores the world of the hip-hop DJ in through the personal experiences of those who have lived it. The film will be preceded by a handful of short films. SCRATCH had it's world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival and has been nominated for a 2002 Independent Spirit Award by the IFP. Tickets are on sale now at the Clearview Cinema box Office. Admission is $10.
A pre party at Soul Sauce featuring DJ astrosphere followed by a screening of the acclaimed documentary "Scratch". This exhilarating film features such charismatic figures as Q-Bert, DJ Shadow, MixMaster Mike, Cut Chemist, among a host of others in full-blown exhibition of their powers. Everyone from Elvis Mitchell at the NY Times to Glenn Kenny at Premiere is singing SCRATCH's praises.
