Thursday June 24 will mark the beginning of the Freedom Film Society's ReelQueer Summer 2004, sponsored by Moonstruck. Five nights of the crème-de-la-crème of contemporary gay and lesbian cinema will be served up in Paradise, Asbury Park, as New Jersey's hottest dance club transforms into a cinema-by-the-sea, for select Thursdays throughout the summer.

Sip a cocktail and enjoy five great nights of outrageous comedies, moving dramas, and one particularly timely documentary. Isn't it time for a film Festival that said something to you about your life? Come and see.

June 24: 9 Dead Gay Guys, Lab Ky Mo, UK, comedy - An outrageous comedy that throws political correctness out the window! Two Irish lads move to London to hit it big, but end up working as male prostitutes in the gay underbelly of the city. Equal parts John Waters and Quentin Tarantino, 9 Dead Gay Guys is a raucous and whacked-out romp!

July 15: Mango Kiss, Sascha Rice, US, romantic comedy - In this fish-out-of-water movie, Lou's world is turned upside-down when she falls for her best friend, Sassafras. Zaniness ensues when the naive pair stumble into the erotic world of lesbian role-playing.

July 29: Adored: Diary of a Porn Star, Marco Filiberti, Italy, narrative - a beautiful, ironic and moving story of a gay porn star which focuses more upon the deep souls of its characters than on the body.

August 12: Eating Out, Q. Allen Brocka, US, comedy - Set in the hot Sonoran desert, Eating Out proves the fastest way to a girl's heart is through her gay best friend. A definite guilty pleasure of a movie, with good performances and a witty script, so be prepared to laugh out loud, and to drool over the gorgeous boys.

August 26: Goldfish Memory, Liz Gill, Ireland, comedy - A light-hearted look at the dangers and delights of dating in contemporary Dublin. Exploring the comical nature of love, straight, gay and in-between, Goldfish Memory brings life to the saying what goes around, comes around…and around…and around.
