BEST OF FEST 2002
As 2002 comes to a close, The Freedom Film Society will bring together audiences, filmmakers, sponsors, and press alike to share in a holiday food, fun and films as we reflect on our successes in 2002 and present our ambitions for 2003.
What: The evening will include a reflective look back on 2002 with a "Best of Fest" screening which will feature the award winners from our August 2002 Festival, so if you missed them the first time around, this is your last chance! Included are the following:
Jimmy Maker - Winner 2002 Jersey Fresh Award
Shadowplay - Winner 2002 Best Animation Award
Leave Luck To Heaven - Winner 2002 Best Short Award
Armor of God - Winner 2002 Best Documentary Award
Mr. Rose - An unofficial favorite of the festival
The evening will also premiere a documentary about RBIFF 2002 directed by Brian Hemstreet of Brookdale Television. While we reflect on the past, we will also be focusing on the future, as we announce the launching of our "Emerging Filmmakers Project" , a program that will join us with many local high schools in efforts to bring filmmaking resources into the hands of tomorrows talent. The event is also an opportunity for individuals and businesses to become involved with the organization through sponsorship and volunteering. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated. Please bring a can of food for holiday donation to our local food bank.
